You might be here because…

You have a good business and people who know how to do the work well. But AI is changing how customers find and choose products and services, and you’re also hearing how AI can do all kinds of magic.

It can feel a bit confusing. You’re not sure what matters or where to focus, and you don’t want to spend money on things that won’t make a real difference.

So, you’ve got something worth protecting.

But you could also be missing out on the value that AI and automation are creating.

You don’t need to become an expert in AI to work out what’s worth doing. If you want someone who can sit on your side of the table and help you make sense of it all, that’s where I come in.

Why More Pie exists

I have spent 30 years working across business, marketing, technology and customer experience in New Zealand, and I have worked through several waves of technology and marketing change. I have seen new tools create genuine opportunities, and I have also seen businesses lose time and confidence trying to adopt things that were not right for them.

More Pie exists to help established businesses understand what has changed, decide what matters, and make more of what they already have. AI is too important to ignore, but too easy to apply badly.

How I think

AI should never change what makes a good business good. It shouldn’t change the way customers view that business, or the product and service they’ve spent years building.

The way I see it, when used well, AI is more like a quiet extra pair of hands in the background. It can keep useful work moving, even when nobody’s at their desk, and make things possible that used to take far too much time, money, or people than the business could justify.

But the business is still in charge. The people in it still decide what matters. The judgement, care, and relationships remain totally human.

What I help with

I help you use AI and automation to become easier to find, respond faster, follow up more consistently, improve the customer experience, make it easier for satisfied customers to leave reviews, and reduce repetitive internal work.

This might mean:

How More Pie works

Understand. Prioritise. Progress.

I look at the business first, work out what is worth doing next, and help put the right changes into practice.

  1. 01 Understand

Look at how the business works today, where value is being missed, and what already exists.

  2. 02 Prioritise

Work out what is worth doing, what is not, and what should happen first.

  3. 03 Progress

Put the right changes into practice, using AI and automation where they genuinely help.

How we can work together

I bring that practical experience to deciding what is worth doing, what can wait, and how to put a useful change into practice.

I work independently to find the right approach for your business, including deciding what not to do.

For most businesses, the best place to start is Jumpstart. It gives us a clear view of what matters before we decide what to do.

After the review

Activate Programme

Guided implementation of the priorities that came out of Jumpstart. I work with your people to keep the work moving, make decisions easier, solve problems as they come up, and provide an independent second opinion. Your team or chosen specialists carry out the work, so what changes stays yours.

When specialist help is needed

Implementation guidance

I do not carry out the specialist build work myself. I help you find the right person, understand the proposal, and keep the work aligned with the plan.

What you can expect from me

My strength is understanding complex problems and explaining what matters in plain English.

You should understand what you are paying for, why it matters, and what will happen next. I will not recommend a tool or project unless I can explain the value.

Do I know what I’m talking about? Can I be trusted? Read my LinkedIn recommendations and make up your own mind. If I’m not the right person, I’ll say so.
